DRP Chemicals is Offering 5 Ranches or Feedlots a 6-Week Free Trial Livestock Lagoon Treatment to Clear Solids and Eliminate Odors
Jun 8, 2023 – Hockley, TX – DRP Chemicals, a producer of biological wastewater treatment products, is searching for five ranches, stockyards, or feedlots that are interested in taking part in their six-week free trial treatment.
The product to be used in the test is DRP Chemical’s DRP Accelerator™, their flagship commercial product. DRP Accelerator™ is used in wastewater treatment systems to reduce solids (by up to 50%), eliminate odors to relative zero (you must be standing over it to smell it), and eliminate the production of harmful and corrosive H2S gas. It is environmentally safe and so non-toxic it is approved by NSF for use around food production.
It is important to note that it is also not just a simple bacteria or enzyme treatment additive solution. DRP Chemicals refers to DRP Accelerator™ as a bio-accelerator because it works by accelerating the reproduction and growth of the bacteria in wastewater systems by up to 40 times – thereby creating more than enough bacteria to eat the organic solids and reduce them to pumpable liquids and gases. They are essentially speeding up the rate of the normal bacteria digestion process by a factor of 40X.
For livestock lagoons, the primary benefits are significantly reduced costs of solids management and removal, and reduced complaints from neighbors about odors. Lagoons go from thick sludge to pumpable liquid – relatively free of odors – that can be used for irrigation or simply pumped out for removal.
The free trial program is available for five lagoon or livestock wastewater systems in total.
Trial Treatment Program Details
“The livestock lagoon trial is about metrics and getting the word out within the livestock community. The product does what we say it does every time so there’s no question about that. This program is about documenting metrics before and after treatment with DRP Accelerator™ and publishing those real results so ranchers and feedlot owners can see what’s possible,” says Chris Denny, CEO of DRP Chemicals.
There truly is no cost to those participating in the program. In exchange for the free treatment – and the improvements it brings to their lagoons and property — they agree to openly provide metrics and measurements related to their system’s function, solids, power use, and odors during and after treatment. The results of the trial will be published in white papers and promotional materials.
Ideal Candidates
The ideal trial participants are ranches, feedlots, or stockyards in the United States with between 1,000 and 50,000 cattle. For larger operations, the trial is likely to include only one or two lagoons.
The systems must have a clear problem to solve. That is, they are combatting strong odor issues, dangerous H2S gas levels, organic solids control, or a combination of these.
