‘Changes’ is a moderate tempo elevating track with lyrics and theme. It is an acoustic ballad about depression after being broken up with. Instrumentally, ‘Changes’ is rooted in very solid hip hop influences as it also taps some minor [but not insignificant] elements from genres like rap, trap, soul, and blues. The tranquilizing, fluid and subtle piano harmonies/melodies meddled with trap percussions, cinematic sound effects, and the sensuous vocals of Baimz create not just an elevating atmosphere but also quite a calming and reassuring one.
