Insurance Office of America’s (IOA’s) First Satellite Office Turns 23
LONGWOOD, FL – May 4, 2020 – COVID-19 has put a hold on countless vacations, festivities, and social gatherings, but the insurance brokerage team at Insurance Office of America (IOA) still has a lot of celebrating to do. This April, the full-service insurance agency, headquartered in Longwood, FL, remembers the birthday of its first satellite office, which opened over two decades ago in Cherry Hill, NJ.
“When Lloyd and I started discussing a potential integration and making Cherry Hill our first satellite office, we were excited and terrified at the same time. We knew the opportunity for growth was certainly there, but the distance was our main concern,” explained IOA co-founder John Ritenour. “Ultimately, it has proven to be one of the greatest decisions in the history of IOA, opening the door and creating a platform for us to reach the heights we have thus far and that we will continue to strive for moving forward.”
April 1, 2020, marked the 23rd year since the team at IOA opened its second office and first branch outside of Florida. Before then, IOA was known as Insurance Office of Florida, but the out-of-state expansion prompted the agency to rebrand with a nation-inclusive name change. Since then, the brokerage has gone on to open offices across the nation — and across the globe.
