CAPW and Fortuna Texas Wrestling drew more than 400 attendees to Citrus Live Theatre in Edinburg, where CAPW Lone Star Champion Kiké Caballero faced AEW star and ROH World Champion Bandido.

EDINBURG, Texas – November 2, 2026 – Citrus All-Pro Wrestling (CAPW) drew its first capacity crowd this past Friday, October 30, bringing more than 400 attendees to Citrus Live Theatre less than a year after the independent promotion’s January 2026 launch.

CAPW Lone Star Champion Kiké Caballero faced reigning Ring of Honor (ROH) World Champion Bandido in the main event of “CAPW × Fortuna: Luchas That Must Not Die.” CAPW and Fortuna Texas Wrestling presented the event together, bringing the visiting world champion to Edinburg while giving Caballero a featured platform before his home audience.

Bandido is ranked No. 11 in Pro Wrestling Illustrated’s 2026 PWI 500, the publication’s annual ranking of 500 professional wrestlers. His placement near the top of that year’s list gives context to the caliber of opponent facing CAPW’s Lone Star Champion. CAPW reported an enthusiastic crowd response to both wrestlers and described their main-event performance as a highlight of the evening.

Friday’s card also featured Gravity, who has appeared in AEW, and former DREAMWAVE Women’s Champion Brittnie Brooks.

Richard Holliday, CAPW’s reigning World Champion, holds the No. 145 position in the same 2026 PWI 500. He captured the championship at Golden Harvest on September 18, six weeks before the October 30 show. His title reign adds another dimension to CAPW’s inaugural year: nationally recognized talent is not only appearing on its cards but also competing within its championship scene. Holliday’s victory and Caballero’s main event place two of CAPW’s titles at the center of that growth.

CAPW’s January launch also featured former WWE Intercontinental and United States Champion Carlito.

“When we started this in January, the goal was to hit capacity. Now it’s time to aim higher,” said Casey Cantu, co-founder of CAPW.

CAPW was founded to showcase and develop Rio Grande Valley talent, with the goal of helping wrestlers pursue broader recognition without leaving the region. The focus is on building visibility for local performers through opportunities to compete alongside established names. Such matchups are intended to put local wrestlers before audiences who may know the visiting performers but are still getting to know CAPW’s roster. CAPW’s collaboration with Fortuna Texas Wrestling brought that mission to Caballero’s main event. The Lone Star Champion had a platform to demonstrate his abilities in front of his home audience, with the attention surrounding Bandido’s appearance also directed toward the CAPW wrestler sharing the ring with him.
