San Antonio Filmmaker Announces Release Of Indigenous Actress-Led Film For 2023

San Antonio filmmaker, Colin Bressler will release his newest film No Promised Land, in 2023 on all streaming platforms.

This film follows Indigenous-American Actress Destiny Soria as she fights with her back against the wall due to some self-inflicted wounds and some systemic and oppressive structures built into the fabric of society.

Being an Indigenous American woman and a single mom is extraordinarily difficult. There is No Promised Land guaranteed in this society, particularly in certain regions. An individual can be brilliant and near perfect, but a lot of times the first thing this society notices is skin, language, and culture. Thus, creating glass ceilings which in turn pushes good people to commit horrible acts just to survive.

“When this story came to me I was drawn to the idea of loneliness. The idea of a single parent struggling to make things work. I’m drawn to anthropological concepts and fascinated by the human condition. No matter the odds so many in our society make it work against all odds. This excited me about telling this story.” – Colin Bressler (Writer/Producer)
