When Yusef was released from correctional facilities in 2012 after serving 22 years, he vowed to never go back to his old ways. He felt blessed for the second opportunity at life and wanted to find a way to make a positive change in his community.

Yusef’s vision for a change kept him motivated when he was released from prison. He has family and friends in the SF Bay area that believed in him, and even the faith community showed support. He started his journey as a motivational speaker, sharing his solution-based messages with youth in California.
During his time mentoring students, he was able to give public motivational speeches and work with youth one-on-one. His message was starting to make a huge change in the community. It didn’t take long until more organizations started to hear about what Yusef was doing, and he started receiving requests to give motivational speeches at government locations and college campuses.
After 2 years of mentoring and motivational speaking, Yusef decided that it was time to turn this business into an organization for the community. His idea to help struggling youth stay on the right path turned into a multi-million dollar organization.
