With a year of lockdowns across the world, Vogue looks at the science behind our feelings

It has been a year nobody would have predicted, and the iconic magazine Vogue has interviewed British psychologist and coach Lee Chambers, exploring the science behind lockdown fatigue. The article focuses on defining lockdown fatigue, identifying the symptoms, and looking at the external factors that amplify it. They also look at solutions that readers can implement to ensure they can navigate any fatigue they may have and reduce its impact.

It’s all been part of a positive approach from the psychologist in getting a message of hope and optimism out into the public domain, to help those he is unable to work with directly. He has been collaborating with It’s Mental, a wellbeing provider that offers wellbeing delivery across a range of modalities. He has also been recording regular podcasts, appearing on the Evolve and Thoughtful Entrepreneur shows.

When asked about being interviewed by Vogue, Lee Chambers said, “It is such a privilege to have been selected by an esteemed publication with a worldwide reach to share my expertise and insights with. With such a dedicated readership and an expanding focus on lifestyle and health, being able to contribute to give readers some value in these challenging times is something that makes me very proud.”

With Mr Chambers recently expanding his business Essentialise Workplace Wellbeing, and contributing to publications including HuffPost, the Daily Mail and The Telegraph, he is clearly on a mission to make a difference, and we can certainly agree that lockdown fatigue has been a shared human experience throughout the past 12 months.
